Villa Description
Villa Margarita is over 3,500 sq ft of luxurious living accommodating up to 10 guests with full maid service,
grounds keeper and Continental breakfast 6 days/week. Four air conditioned bedrooms; 3 upstairs and
one main floor, each with uniquely decorated bathrooms, patios and ocean view. The decks open to
Caribbean ocean views and luxurious sea breezes. No coin-toss for best bedroom in Villa Margarita,
every bedroom is a master!
Three bedrooms have fixed king-size beds and one upstairs has a king that can separate into 2 twins for
flexibility. On the second floor there is also an air conditioned and fully equipped satellite TV room with
VCR and DVD player, 2 futon sofa beds suitable for children with shared bathroom and its own private
patio overlooking the jungle and Akumal village.
The 1st floor living room and dining room face the ocean where a wall of sliding patio doors invites
children and adults to enjoy the refreshing pool only 3 steps away with the Caribbean sand and surf just
beyond. As you face the ocean from the dining room, behind you is a sit-up bar shared from the kitchen
via an open, brick-lined archway.
Two steps up from the living/dining area you rise to the foyer, splashed in natural light beaming down from
the domed rooftop cupola. Looking up through the iron railing around the opening in the ceiling reveals
the ceiling of the second floor where a high, brick domed cupola spills natural light throughout! There are
ceiling fans everywhere.
Entering the front door and left off the foyer you enter the massive and fully equipped kitchen with an
expansive view over the bar to the dining room and beyond to the pool and ocean - a perfect place to
prepare a meal or squeeze limes for those happy hour Margaritas around the pool. For casual outdoor
cooking, you will want to use the propane fired barbecue and outdoor kitchen/wet bar conveniently beside
the front entrance. Off the foyer by the spiraling stairs, you find the half bath/powder room and opposite
that the door to the main floor bedroom. The furnishings are Mexican with brilliant Caribbean style fabrics.
From the living room and dining room you exit to a covered patio that borders the refreshing pool with
safe depths for kids and adults.
Imagine swaying in a hammock under the beachside palapa or relaxing in a poolside lounge, looking out
to the turquoise ocean, enjoying the ocean breeze and the rustle of coconut palms. Cruise the bay in the
villa's sea kayaks. Try a guided fishing tour, snorkel trip or scuba dive for an exciting day. Heaven might
look like this!
If you prefer an even higher perch for afternoon sunning, evening cocktails at sunset or star gazing at
night, take the spiral stairway to the panoramic roof for a fantastic view of the surrounding ocean reef and
jungle. You can even sleep under the stars!
Continental breakfast of toast, butter & jam, cereal and sweet rolls with coffee, juice and milk will be
served Monday - Saturday by the maid who is an excellent cook. Home cooked Mexican meals can be
prepared and served for you with a minimum of 48 hours notice. Upon request and also with just a
minimum of 48 hours notice, a free meal will be provided with reservations of 7 nights or more.
Villa Margarita has absolutely everything you need for a memorable vacation in the tropical paradise
known as the Riviera Maya.

The following comments are
concerning the Cox party, including Ted, Michelle, Aubrey and Joseph,
who were at the Margarita villa from July 14 through July 20. As far as
responding to the evaluation per your e-mail, the ease of using Akumal
Villa website was extremely easy, very informative and I found that all
the photographs were very representative of what was actually present on
our arrival.
Both Marie and Martina responded to
every inquiry I had and even provided an acoustic guitar to be in the
villa upon my arrival to use during the week that I was there.
They provided excellent information that allowed us to arrange for two
different excursions, all of our meals and our round trip transportation
from the airport.
The information that they provided was both
accurate and useful.
I found that all of the arrival rental
documentation was totally adequate and accurate.
We had
essentially no paperwork to fill out and truly just had to enjoy
ourselves during our week at this wonderful villa.<br> The
payments for this vacation were made very simply with a credit care
over the internet by information provided by your staff. Documentation
and verification of those payments were returned to me quickly. We did
not see any unexpected charges throughout our entire vacation. Shortly
after our arrival Jorge came to the villa and gave us a complete rundown
of the villa and the grounds and assisted us in finalizing our meal
plans with Patty and Irene. He also gave us excellent advise on other
activities that we could do and how to best enjoy the villa.
He made himself available 24 hours a day and came back by to see us on
our final day at the villa to make sure that we did not need further
assistance. Our house staff, grounds-keeper and guard were all very
courteous and very respectful of our privacy but, were always available
to us when needed.
Throughout the entire week the villa was
kept very clean, as were the yard, pool and beach.
The kitchen
was left spotless following each meal and all of the linens and
everything were changed each day. The villa contained
everything that we needed for a week of true vacation.
I cannot
say enough about our eating experience throughout the entire week.
Patty and Irene basically had three meals a day ready for us
and would adjust the times we were eating and also adjust the menus as
we requested.
The food was always of incredible quality and we
had requested local Mayan dishes and we could not have asked for better
service or for more delicious foods. We were informed about
Akumal Villas by a Dr. Ronnie Moss who stayed in the Iguana during 2012
and basically he told me it was the best vacation that he had ever been
on in his life and I agree with him. This was the first time
in my 57 years that I have been on vacation and dreaded having to come
back home. This was some of the most wonderful times that me
and my children have had together. The swimming pool was
absolutely wonderful and we did a good bit of snorkel.
Leo,
who took us on our two tours, one on the jungle tour and the other one
the Chitzen Itza, treated us like family and we were extremely
comfortable and could have not have had a better host. We
definitely plan to return to the Margarita sometime in the near future
and we plan to absolutely request Leo, Irene and Patty to be with us
again. Once again, I cannot say enough, especially concerning Martina
and how she went absolutely the extra mile to secure that this would be
one of the vacations that my family and I have ever been on and I will
always be sincerely grateful for this. I now truly know what
the word vacation means after having been at Akumal Villas.
