Our newest villa on Tankah Bay, Villa Orquidea is the perfect place to relax and enjoy modern accommodations on this fantastic beach. The 3 master suites in the main house all have wonderful views of the Caribbean and Tankah Bay. The quaint 1-bedroom lock-off, fully-furnished casita offers quiet, peace and privacy. Cool Caribbean breezes will follow you everywhere in this Spanish Colonial villa and with 3600 square feet and views of the ocean from nearly every room in the house, you will feel like royalty! or wait for the slideshow to load below This villa is furnished with lovely hardwoods and artistic touches from renowned artists. As you come through the beautiful wrought iron entrance gate, walk up the handicap accessible entrance to the house and open the front door, you will be greeted by the turquoise blue waters of the Mayan Riviera. The entire beach side of the house is fronted with large bay windows that bring the outside in. Just a few steps away from the large, open living room and kitchen area is the swimming pool. The bedrooms are wonderfully decorated with the warm, bright colors of Mexico and you will find custom mosaics in each of the bathrooms. Step out on the Romeo and Juliet veranda and sip a Margarita on the Mahogany day bed. Villa Orquidea is located on Tankah Bay just 6 miles north of Tulum and 80 miles South of Cancun. Not only is Tankah Bay famous for it's wonderful beach but also for the cenote just 10 minutes walk from the villa. There are also 2 restaurants near the cenote or you can relax at the villa and enjoy the fantastic cook service. Kayaking, snorkeling and swimming are just a few of the activities waiting for you at Villa Orquidea. Just 15 minutes by car are the majestic Mayan ruins of Tulum and a plethora of great restaurants, shops and more scenic beaches.

I'm not sure there are any other words to describe our stay and this place!We enjoyed going to Playa del Carmen and Akumal, we loved Tulum and our day trip to Chichen Itza.However we were so thankful to have this beautiful, quiet and private retreat to come back to.A perfect day was spent with coffee on the beach, a long walk, kayaking, swimming, and lots of reading.What a treat to finish 3 books!We hear you are from Iowa! Your casita is wonderful.We kayaked in the bay, snorkeled in the cenote and visited the ruins in Chichen Itza, Ek' Balam, Coba and Tulum.This was a perfect location to see and do so much.The recommendation to eat at the Mayan Grill was much deserved.I can't think of a better venue for a lovely dinner.
