Villa Description
Cascadas combines the architectural charm of a 18th century Spanish Hacienda with the comfort and convenience of 21st century amenities. Before entering this lovely home, you will encounter the beautiful, lighted swimming pool that features a man-made rock waterfall. The downstairs has 2 bedrooms with king-size beds and private bathrooms. There is also a dining room and large living room with a sweeping view of the ocean.
The upstairs has two bedrooms separated by an exterior courtyard with a lovely garden. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, sitting area with sofa bed and a private bathroom with shower. The guest upstairs bedroom has 2 queen-size beds, and private bathroom with shower. All of the bedrooms in the villa have a view of the ocean, are air conditioned and have private balconies.
The views from Cascadas are breathtaking! A sweeping panorama of the aquamarine Caribbean Sea can be seen to the east and the tropical jungle teeming with birds and wildlife lie to the west. The second floor courtyard with hammock and balcony overlook the Caribbean. The rooftop observation deck is a terrific spot to view the stars at night (yes, you can actually see them in Akumal!) and you can't beat it as a place to be at Sunrise with a cup of coffee or at sunset with a margarita. There's a great built-in couch and table for your rooftop comfort.
Cascadas is located on the beautiful Mexican Caribbean. A beautiful, new oceanside terrace with a shaded hammock stand has steps leading to a very private beach area, which allows access to wonderful snorkeling on calm, clear days. Bordered by a rocky coastline, this is the perfect retreat. Akumal Bay, which has one of the most beautiful beaches on the Mexican Riviera, is only a few hundred yards away. Akumal has shopping, restaurants, small grocery stores, a kid's club, dive shops, a money exchange and a health club. All the modern comforts in a small, tranquil town. The perfect vacation!
The lovely caretakers at Cascadas live in their own "casita" (little house) right there on the property and will take care of cleaning, cooking and whatever else you need!
Bring the family to Cascadas for a vacation you'll never forget and don't forget that the owner of this house has created a Handicapped Friendly environment. There are wheelchair/scooter ramps from the parking lot to the pool area, as well as around the house in order to access the first floor master bedroom, the back deck and the kitchen area. Additionally, the first floor master bedroom bathroom is accessible from the back deck and through the kitchen dinning area!

Our stay at Casa Cascadas was amazing! This villa is the perfect place for a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The villa is nestled away in a small beach community so it feels very private. As a bonus - you are a short drive from Tulum and other neighboring towns.The atmosphere at the villa was most welcoming and the staff were extremely kind and helpful in every way. The breakfast was fabulous every morning.The surrounding nature is beautiful and there’s lots to see and do. If you like beautiful sunrises and sunsets - this is the place for you! The rooms were also huge and very comfy and all have gorgeous private balconies.
We rented a golf cart for the week so we could get around the local town of Akumal ($40 a day). There are many options for authentic Mexican breakfast + lunches nearby.
The beach at the Villa is incredible as well! Its very private and great for sun tanning and relaxing. We even saw baby sea turtles on the beach moving towards the ocean!
Overall 5 stars for this villa and we will definitely be returning!

Our Wonderful Golden Jubilee(Anniversary) Vacation
We love to travel, we love to see new things, learn about the culture and a bit of the history of the places we visit. There are few places that we like to revisit. Akumal is the exception.
We brought our whole family, our kids and grandkids. We told them this wouldn't be a sit on the beach vacation although we did do that also. This was our 50th Anniversary and we wanted to share this beautiful place with them. They were blown away with the beauty of the Bay, the Ocean and the Lagoon. We also visited many of the historical sites such as Chichen Itza and some of the cenotes and ecological sites such as Xcaret.
To top it off we had a gorgeous Villa with a swimming pool(our grandkids loved it) We also were blessed with a wonderful couple,Abelardo and Basilia who took care of our every need. I can't say enough good things about Abelardo and Bacilia. They were gourmet cooks and they kept the Villa spotless. You are fortunate to have 2 such wonderful employees.

We had a great time, the Yalku lagoon and Akumal beach were fantastic and relaxing.The house itself was very comfortable and full of charm, our children (six of them) all under the age of 6, will remember this vacation in Mexico and Casa Cascadas for a long time to come.One of the best parts was waiting for the tortugas to come every night with no success, but on the very last night, Casa Cascadas gave us a magical surprise two turtles on it's beach. Basilia and Abelardo were amazing; they are wonderful, kind people.We can not wait to come back! Thank you!

WOW!! What a great time we had!!! The house, pool, beach, backyard and BBQ! There wasn't one place in this house we didn't use and enjoy.I'm crying thinking about leaving.We loved the beach, the Buena Vida and the laid back attitude of Akumal!! Had a wonderful time in Akumal. We spent more time hanging here at the house than expected because it was so wonderful. We had 4 generations here, great grandma at 84 down to 2 year old Serena.
