Almost everyone has been affected by Coronavirus (COVID-19), but what is most important now is to try to keep calm and focus on how to overcome the next couple of months. 

At Akumal Villas, we wanted to reach out and let you know  our intention is to support you however we can.

We are a small company based in Akumal, and although we have seen off many unpredictable events in the past, nothing has created such a worldwide impact as this has, with borders closed, stay at home orders and flights grounded. But there are far, far better times ahead than any we leave behind, so we will survive this, because we know what an amazing place the Riviera Maya is, with it’s wonderful people and culture. On top of that, we have a great team at Akumal Villas, fabulous vacation rentals with great caretakers and management.

And so, we have created an action plan to take the uncertainty out of our client communications, so you have one less thing to stress over.

What are we doing?

First and foremost, please know that the safety and well-being of our guests and employees continue to be our top priority. 

Additional cleaning procedures are being undertaken in all areas of villas, including increasing the frequency of these cleaning routines, along with educating our employees on the steps they should be taking to keep themselves safe and healthy. We are also regularly monitoring updates from reputable sources, so we are up to date with the current Health and Safety procedures..

If you need to reschedule your dates due to Covid-19, what are your options?

With International Travel bans and overall uncertainly, it’s understandable that you may want to, or need to, put your vacation on hold for now.

It important that we all have something to look forward to, so keeping your Mexican beach vacation waiting for you, as a light at the end of the tunnel, will keep you going through this.

If you need to reschedule and you are unsure of your dates, we can put your reservation in pending dates status, so you have some time to see how things go, no pressure. The reschedule will be valid within one year of your current travel dates. We are trying to be as flexible as possible, so please contact us to discuss your options!

The most important thing right now is to stay Calm and keep Positive.
