Villa Dos Jaguares

I planned a 50th birthday party with six friends at Villa Dos Jaguares, and really can't say enough about how nice it was. We were very grateful to Rosa for all the expert care during the visit. There were lots of really nice touches including carafes with bottled water in all the bathrooms, some snorkel equipment in the cupboards and pico de gallo and guacamole and beer and sodas waiting in the fridge when we arrived. The proximity to the beach was wonderful, the views, the rooftop, the balconies, and the outdoor shower feel particularly luxurious. We rented a car and went to Ek Balam and into Tulum for dinner a couple times.

Stuff to keep in mind, but that isn't a deal breaker for a slightly smaller group, the water pressure in the back bathroom behind the kitchen was very low, so for a group our size we had to share showers a bit. The Queen suite by the front door is naturally musty I think since it's on the same level as the yard, although it's very private.

We had the most fun! We had enough separate spaces and enough group spaces that it fit all our needs. The house is lovely!! We loved Rosa and Jaime. They kept the house and grounds beautifully clean and yet were so unobtrusive as if things were just magically done. Rosa made us the most delicious Mayan chicken dinner. We loved having the use kayaks right out in front of the house. Maria from the management company was hugely helpful in making arrangements for us before our stay. The service was top notch in every way. I highly recommend this property for families or small groups. It was really wonderful.

Great location in a quite area, nice to relax!

Incredible location, right by the beach. I stayed in the master bedroom -- I couldn't help but smile every day I woke up to the beautiful ocean views and went to bed and woke up hearing the sound of the waves crashing. The property manager and staff were professional and the property was fantastic for a group vacation. The kitchen is a bit out-dated but otherwise, I could not recommend this home more highly!

Rhett, Rosa, and Jeime were all attentive and took care of any needs and requests quickly. The house is stunning and all the bedrooms have air conditioners. The beach is right out the back door! Kids and us went snorkeling out the back and saw some coral and fish. There are many points of interest within a short drive. We did xel-ha, Coba, and the Gran Cenote. I’d highly recommend them all. The community has security guards doing rounds and we felt safe. We enjoyed having privacy away from the over populated resorts.

We have traveled to the Akumal / Tulum area many times over the past 10 years. Of all of the villas we have stayed at this is by far the largest. It handled our family nicely and we were all surprised by the space and how nice it was. The beach is beautiful, if you like rock. You can walk down the beach to enjoy the sand, but it's not your ideal beach.
The highlights... the Outdoor Shower in the Master sweet upstairs and the Maid & her husband... They are amazing!
We would consider renting this property again if we had a large group. We never did get a visit from the property manager? I would rent again without question through Akumal-Villas.

Great House, Rosa and Alexis (the staff) were great. Rosa and her chef husband made a great dinner one night. A couple of issues about the house were mentioned and not repaired despite assurances that they would be. Over all the rental was excellent

Water pressure and temperature controls in the bathrooms were a little challenging, but were addressed when we finally asked. Rosa was the best!!! our place was spotless each day when she left. we were disappointed and stressed to find no baby crib/pack-n-play the evening we arrived, which made for a potentially tough night with a 14 month old, but we managed. I had purposely checked several times to make sure it would be there and set up, but to no avail. the one they brought the next day was in pretty bad shape, but at least it was usable. Overall a very nice property and a great vacation.

It was a lovely stay, beautiful beach, snorkeling was wonderful, kayaking was great :)
My only complaint was that the shower water was low pressure and hard to get hot water :(
Everything else was great though :)

This was our first visit to the Maya Riviera and we picked Akumal based on internet research. Akumal in general and South Akumal beach in particular turned out to be great choices. By far the least crowded beach and best for swimming. The villa itself could use a little TLC but we enjoyed it and it worked well for us. The staff were excellent as was the service from Akumal Villas.

We had a really great time with our family. The house was large and roomy,however the Wi-Fi
was tempermental at best, the fridge was not working and one air conditioner had to be repaired.

If you love Akumal and the Riviera Maya, you will love Dos Jaguares. Anyone familiar with the Mayans will notice the unique Mayan design elements incorporated into this villa. All of our family enjoyed the villa and the staff. Akumal Bay is a great place to snorkel, see the turtles and enjoy the beach life. We will all be back very soon.

What a wonderful place to get away for the hussle of everyday life. The house is very roomy, with good air conditioning. The view is wonderful with a great breeze going through the house. Just a l 1/2 from Akumal. We walked over several times. Would I go back? Can't wait!

We had an amazing time.Only shortfall was a real oven, as we had a wedding cake to bake, but the property manager let us use another villa for that- very accommodating! The space was not ideal for 12 adult guests as the room for 4 was quite small, but it was beautifully appointed and very nicely situated.
